1. Agreement To These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Analyst, including the Analyst mobile app, website, content, training tools, practice workflows, and related services. By using Analyst, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Analyst. If you use Analyst on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. What Analyst Provides

Analyst provides educational tools for investment banking and finance recruiting preparation, including technical drills, mock interview practice, market prep, outreach tracking, readiness indicators, and recruiting workflow tools.

Analyst is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, broker, recruiter, school, or employer. Analyst does not guarantee interviews, internships, job offers, investment results, admissions results, or recruiting outcomes.

3. Eligibility And Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Analyst. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Analyst only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. AI-Assisted Features

Technical Coach and Behavioral Coach use automated artificial intelligence to generate practice feedback, draft suggestions, scoring indicators, and explanations. The output is generated from your inputs and the practice context; it is not reviewed by a human before it is shown to you.

AI output may be wrong, incomplete, outdated, biased, misleading, offensive, or inappropriate. AI systems can hallucinate facts, citations, calculations, interview guidance, or other content. You must independently review and verify output before relying on it, using it in an interview, sharing it, or making a decision based on it. Analyst does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, originality, or fitness of any AI output.

AI features are educational tools only and are not financial, investment, legal, medical, tax, accounting, employment, recruiting, or other professional advice. Analyst does not make hiring decisions, provide individualized professional advice, or guarantee interviews, offers, or any other recruiting outcome.

AI features are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. They may be unavailable, delayed, limited, changed, or discontinued, and they may produce output that does not match your goals or expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Analyst is not responsible for your reliance on AI output or for any loss, harm, missed deadline, missed opportunity, or other result arising from it.

To provide an AI request, Analyst sends the relevant prompt, answer, practice question, rubric, and selected context to the third-party AI providers described in our Privacy Policy, including OpenAI where applicable. Those providers process the data under their own service terms, privacy policies, security practices, and retention controls. AI content is not kept exclusively on your device or private from the providers needed to deliver the feature.

You retain ownership of the answers, prompts, stories, and other material you submit. Analyst does not use your submitted content to train an Analyst-owned model. Our current AI integration is intended to use the OpenAI API platform, where OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train or improve its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in. The provider may nevertheless retain or process prompts, responses, and related metadata for abuse monitoring, security, application state, or other purposes described in its current terms and policies. We will update these Terms if our AI providers or data practices materially change.

Do not submit confidential employer information, material subject to a nondisclosure obligation, sensitive personal information, regulated data, account credentials, trade secrets, or another person's private information in an AI-assisted feature. You are responsible for the content you choose to submit and for obtaining any permission required to submit it.

5. Subscriptions And Payments

Analyst may offer free features and paid subscriptions. If you purchase through Apple, Apple processes payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under Apple's applicable terms and App Store rules. Analyst does not receive your full payment-card information.

Before confirming a purchase, review the price, billing period, trial terms, and the auto-renewal disclosure presented by Apple. You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple account settings. Deleting an Analyst account does not itself cancel an App Store subscription.

6. Acceptable Use

Do not misuse Analyst, attempt to reverse engineer the service, interfere with security features, scrape or copy large portions of content, submit unlawful or harmful content, or use Analyst to violate another person's rights.

You may not use an AI-assisted feature to generate or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, hateful, abusive, sexually exploitative, discriminatory, dangerous, privacy-invasive, or copyright-infringing material; impersonate another person; facilitate wrongdoing; evade safeguards; or submit content intended to attack, manipulate, or disrupt the AI service.

We may investigate suspected abuse and may rate-limit, suspend, remove AI access, terminate an account, or take other action when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, applicable law, or a provider's usage policies. We may also take action to protect users, Analyst, our providers, or third parties.

You may use Analyst for your personal recruiting preparation. You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute Analyst content without written permission.

7. User Content And Practice Data

You may submit answers, notes, outreach information, preferences, prompts, and other content while using Analyst. You retain ownership of the content you submit, but grant Analyst and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and display it as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

To the extent applicable law recognizes rights in an AI-generated response, and subject to the rights of third parties and the limitations in these Terms, Analyst does not claim ownership of an output generated specifically in response to your input. AI outputs may not be unique, may resemble outputs provided to other users, and may contain or be based on third-party material. Analyst does not promise that you can claim copyright in, commercially use, or exclusively control any output.

Do not submit confidential employer materials, private third-party information, or content you do not have the right to provide.

8. Third-Party Services And Links

Analyst may reference banks, internship programs, recruiting opportunities, market information, third-party websites, or third-party services. These references are provided for convenience and may change or become inaccurate.

Analyst is not responsible for third-party services, websites, content, policies, availability, or hiring decisions.

9. Intellectual Property

Analyst and its software, designs, branding, content, and workflows are owned by Analyst or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of Analyst or permission to use Analyst branding except as necessary to use the service.

10. Disclaimers And Limitation Of Liability

Analyst is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Analyst disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Without limiting the AI-specific disclaimers above, Analyst will not be liable for AI hallucinations, inaccurate or offensive output, content generated by a third-party model, provider downtime, data processing by a third-party provider, or your use of or reliance on an AI feature.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Analyst will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for recruiting outcomes, missed deadlines, or reliance on educational content or AI output.

11. Changes To The Service Or Terms

We may update Analyst or these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page or providing in-app notice.

Your continued use of Analyst after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
