Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 10, 2026

This policy describes what Analyst collects, how the app's AI, study, analytics, subscription, and notification features use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Analyst handles information when you use the Analyst mobile app, this website, waitlist and organization-interest forms, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

The Service is an investment-banking recruiting-preparation tool. This policy applies to information we collect directly, automatically through the Service, and through the providers that help us operate it.

2. Information We Collect

Account and profile information. When you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive the account identifier needed to authenticate you and, where Apple provides it, your name and email address. We also collect the onboarding details you choose to provide, such as education year, graduation year, target firm type, followed banks, recruiting goal, preparation timeline, study preferences, and self-assessed preparation level.

Learning and practice information. We process lesson and drill progress, scores, readiness indicators, mock-interview answers, behavioral-coach messages, saved answer drafts, and other content you submit to make the study and coaching features work.

Optional voice input. If you allow microphone and speech-recognition permissions, Analyst uses Apple system services to turn your speech into text for practice. You control whether to grant those permissions. The app uses the resulting text in the practice flow; do not speak or submit confidential information.

Notifications and recruiting alerts. If you enable notifications, we process your device push token, notification settings, followed banks, graduation year, and related alert interactions to deliver the alerts you request.

Subscription information. Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment-card information. We receive subscription and entitlement information, such as the product, access level, and transaction or renewal status, through Apple and our subscription-management provider so we can provide paid features.

Usage and technical information. In the production app, we use product analytics to understand feature use and app performance. This can include an app or account identifier, app version, device and operating-system information, timestamps, feature interactions, learning events, and subscription or onboarding events. We also receive standard technical information needed to operate and secure the Service.

Website forms. If you join the waitlist or contact us about an organization plan, we collect the information in the form, such as your email address, name, organization, role, school, program size, message, and the page and browser information submitted with the form.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to authenticate you, personalize study plans and coaching, save progress, deliver recruiting and news alerts you enable, provide subscriptions, respond to requests, operate and secure the Service, and troubleshoot issues.

We use product analytics to measure and improve onboarding, learning, practice, subscriptions, notifications, and the reliability of the Service. We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand performance and improve curriculum and product design.

4. AI-Assisted Coaching

When you use Technical Coach or Behavioral Coach, Analyst sends the content needed for that request through our secure service infrastructure to OpenAI. Depending on the feature, this can include your submitted answer or chat responses, the practice question and rubric, and selected onboarding context such as your name, education year, target firm type, goal, deadline, and interview-practice level.

The AI response is generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your particular situation. It is educational feedback, not a human assessment or professional advice. Do not submit confidential employer material, sensitive personal data, or information about another person that you do not have permission to share.

5. When We Share Information

We share information with providers that process it for us to operate the Service: Supabase for authentication, database, and server infrastructure; OpenAI for the AI-assisted coaching you request; Mixpanel for product analytics; RevenueCat for subscription management; and Apple for Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, speech recognition, and push notifications. These providers receive information only as needed for the services they perform.

We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, to protect the safety, security, and rights of Analyst or others, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale, subject to applicable law.

Analyst does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

6. Local Device Information

Some information is stored only on your device. For example, the outreach tool stores the contacts, firm names, dates, and notes you enter in the app's local storage. Removing the app or resetting local app data may remove this local information; it is not automatically restored from an Analyst account.

7. Retention And Account Deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, keep it secure, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The period depends on the information and why it was collected. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you.

You can initiate deletion from the Profile area of the app by choosing Delete Account and confirming the prompt. This deletes the authenticated Analyst account and the hosted account records designed to be removed with it, and the app resets its local data. Deleting an Analyst account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage or cancel that separately in your Apple account settings. Some information may be retained where we are legally required or permitted to retain it, including records needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

8. Your Choices And Privacy Requests

You can choose whether to grant microphone, speech-recognition, and notification permissions in iOS Settings. You can turn off notifications there, manage your subscription through Apple, and initiate account deletion in the app as described above.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to ask a privacy question, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Analyst is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. International Processing

Analyst and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.

12. Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service or our practices change. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
